The comic success of the Gangrene Film Festival debut created pressure from attendees and participants to make the festival into a yearly event. The outcome of this pressure created The Gangrene Film Festival: Two Inches. Festival organizers upped the scale of the festival by renting out an indoor venue (the Davis High School auditorium). The venue seated 1000. On the night of the festival, organizers were pleasantly surprised to see about 100 attendees walk through the door. The festival was a free event and was only publicized through friends and family.
Comedian and festival host, Nate Peck, infused a rich canvas of standup comic material and hilarious improvisation between films. His on-stage antics were the beginning of the festival’s all-around comic entertainment personality.

The film festival became a venue for Gangrene Productions directors, Larry Nybo, Craig Nybo, Mike Terrell and Ryan Nybo to debut their short-form material. Along with Gangrene Production shorts, a few guests were invited to show their material.
